Leased Property Building Maintenance Services
Alameda County leased property is administered by the General Services Agency. Leased property can range from a small County satellite office located in a commercial building to an entire multi-floor structure housing several different County departments.
Within the General Services Agency, leased property is the responsibility of the Deputy Director, GSA-Building Maintenance. The day-to-day management of leased property is delegated to GSA-Real Property.
Each leased facility has a designated "Site Manager" appointed by the occupying department. In multi-departmental facilities, the Site Manager is usually assigned by the department occupying the most leased space. Facility maintenance service requests are channeled through the Site Manager to the appropriate authority for action.
The responsibility for facility maintenance and repairs are dictated by the terms of the lease agreement. In most leases, the property owner provides the facility services such as: janitorial, scavenger, utilities, HVAC, repairs, etc. In some leases, the Building Maintenance Department has the responsibility for these services. Each lease is a separate entity and the specific lease terms and conditions may vary considerably.
Inquiries concerning the administration of County leased space should be directed to the Leased Property Manager (510) 208-9716.
