Building Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
The Plant Maintenance Sections maintain, repair and operate all plant equipment and systems, including heating and air conditioning systems. These sections provide, in addition, maintenance and modification services to electrical, plumbing and ventilation systems, fixtures, appliances, elevators, escalators, conveyer systems and pneumatic tube installation.
Routine mechanical equipment servicing is scheduled through a preventive maintenance program. The purpose of the program is to ensure necessary servicing of equipment as recommended by the manufacturer which is designed to prolong life of the equipment, minimize emergency breakdowns and reduce total operational costs.
The basic mission of these sections is to ensure continuously operating building equipment to provide acceptable building temperature levels and air quality consistent with building equipment capabilities and with due regard to energy conservation.
